Kitchen Blender Problems You Can Fix Yourself.

Leaks

One of the most general issues you will find with your kitchen blender is leaking. Even best rated blenders from blender reviews will begin to have this issue eventually. They can cause lies in the gasket or o-ring placed in the bottom of the blender jar where the blade assembly and housing reside. Over time the rubber gasket begins to wear down. If your blender leaking comes from the jar and not the base, then there is likely a crack in the jar and you will have to change it. Bottom leaking though is likely the gasket. To check it, you will need to unscrew the blade housing from the blender jar and pull out the rubber o-ring. Then you can just check for leaks and tears in the rubber of this ring. This part is simply replaceable and just costs a few dollars

Faulty blades

Another general issue with blenders will happen with the blades. In this case the engine will begin to run, but the blades will turn too gradually. If this occur then the likely cause is something stopping the blade assembly area. You will need to the assembly apart and clean every item fully with a scrub brush. There is likely a buildup of food slowing the blades. Soaking every item for a few hours in detergent will also help to dissolve any food particular or substance that has built up over time. Be sure to check the owner's manual to ensure that this is perfect to do for your particular blender brand.

Busted buttons

One other problem you may have with your kitchen blender lies with the buttons or the control panel. Generally buttons will get stuck. This is probably caused by drink and food getting down into the button area and causing them to jam up. Even if you are alert and clean the buttons and control panel fully, over time, food particle will still accumulate.
